We jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with Appsolute Media in designing the user interface for an iPhone and iPod Touch by famed author and make-up genius Carmindy of TLC's "What Not to Wear" fame. Working closely with Appsolute Media, we created the beautiful, functional interface for this ground breaking app where users create make-up profiles for themselves based on skin tone, hair color and eye color.
Based on Carmindy's professional criteria, the app guides users to the perfect look for any occasion. The app goes a few steps further by recommending make-up brands and vendors based on users choices. We designed custom tab buttons and icons, and used high resolution photography to add richness and depth to the app that look crisp on the iPhone's retina display. The app also features Carmindy's twitter feed, a notebook for personal entries, a shopping cart, and video tips by Carmindy herself.
